The Project:

I am a wedding and family photographer based in Collingswood, and like many of you, will be out of work for the foreseeable future. I’d love to use some of this time to unite our community in photographs, while making a difference. And while this time is stressful (to put it lightly), it’s also a unique time of closeness for families.

Collingswood Stays Home is a project, aimed to document this unprecedented time and help our local medical community. These sessions will be a quick five minutes and all photos will be taken from the sidewalk while you are in front of your home. There is zero pressure to dress up or clean up. I love photographing people in their natural environment, so feel free to keep it causal, stretch out on your steps, bring out your favorite outdoor activity, or kick back with beer (Devil’s Creek or Tonewood preferred). All people are welcome and encouraged to participate - individuals, couples, families, pets. At this time, I am only taking Collingswood families to minimize travel.

In exchange for your images, I’ll be asking that you make a donation to one of a few suggested medical organizations in need.

Please follow along on instagram and hashtag #collingswoodstayshome to share your own images of how you’re making the best out of this time at home.

If you are interested in participating in this project and having your family photographed from a distance, please inquire below. Any other questions? Please reach out to me directly at hello@bridgetmassa.com. xo Bridget

ways you can help

In exchange for your digital image, please donate to an organization in need or look for other ways to help. Here are a few suggestions:

  • Stay home. Take care of yourself. Video chat with loved ones often. Find an outlet for your thoughts.

  • Donate to Fuel the Fight where 100% of the money is used to buy food from local restaurants who are reeling from the coronavirus while feeding our healthcare workers on the front-lines battling this pandemic: https://www.gofundme.com/f/xxedc8-help-our-heroes?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link-tip&utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet

  • Donate birthing supplies or money to South Jersey and Philadelphia midwives. There has been an increase in low-risk pregnant people inquiring for home births and supplies are needed. Please email alchemybirthandwellness@gmail.com with you name, address, and list of supplies you can provide (or how you would like to donate).

  • Donate to Lady or Lourdes hospital: https://www.lourdesnet.org/donating-to-lourdes/ways-to-give/make-an-individual-donation/

  • Donate to the Inspira Health Foundation: https://www.inspirafoundation.org/ways-to-give/

  • Donate to the Food Bank of South Jersey: https://foodbanksj.org/getinvolved/

  • Donate to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia: https://give2.chop.edu/give/241805/#!/donation/checkout

I’d love to keep building this list. Please share medical organizations and creative solutions here:
